Biography

Dimitris ("Mimis") Chrysomallis (October 19, 1938 – November 12, 2004) was a Greek actor. He was born in 1938 in Athens. He started his career, as a "child prodigy", singing in "Talentas tou Giorgos Oikonomides". A graduate of the Dramatic School of the Art Theater, an actor with a wide range of interpretations, he "moved" with comfort and dedication in a multitude of roles from the world's dramatic repertoire (Shakespeare, Ancient Greek Drama, revue, prose, etc.). He became more widely known to the public from his participation in many film successes (The Heavy Melon, Harp Cola, Safe Sex, Variete, One and One, Crying came out of heaven, etc.) as well as in television series (The Last Goodbye, Like Sisters, Wedding List, Attic, etc.). He died of a heart attack on November 12, 2004. He also sang in the little hero, by Loukianos Kilaidonis. From 1965 to 1985 he lived with his wife Maria, with whom they had a son, Dimitris. From 1986 until his death he lived with Eleni Krita.
