Megan Jovon Ruth Pete (born February 15, 1995), known professionally as Megan Thee Stallion, is an American rapper and singer. Her ‘Tina Snow’ single “Big Ole Freak” was her first to crack the Hot 100, peaking at No. 65 in May 2019, while the EP peaked at No. 166 on the Billboard 200. Standalone single “Hot Girl Summer” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign would climb the Hot 100, topping out at No. 11 in August 2019. Megan dropped her debut studio album, ‘Good News,’ in November 2020, and it reached No. 2, with single “Body” making it to No. 12. “Savage,” off EP ‘Suga,’ became her first Hot 100 No. 1, reaching the summit in March 2020. Her feature on Cardi B’s “WAP” also topped the chart in August that year. Sophomore album ‘Traumazine’ arrived in 2022 and peaked at No. 4. Megan Thee Stallion has worked with various artists during her career, including Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X and more. She received the Powerhouse Award at the 2019 Billboard Women in Music, and has won several Grammys, including best new artist and best rap song for “Savage” in 2021. Also in 2021, she signed an exclusive first-look deal at Netflix, to create and executive produce new series and other projects. She guest starred in the Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as a fictionalized version of herself and went on to make her theatrical debut in the first ever A24 musical movie “Dicks The Musical” in 2023.
